One of the most popular routes, referred to as particularly attractive, is the Kościeliska Valley. The preferred destination is the Chochołowska Valley.
- Kościeliska Valley – the point of departure is Kirry and the end point is the shelter on Hala Ornak. On the trail we will encounter several caves, including Mroźna, Mylna, Raptawicka and also Wąwóz Kraków. The time needed to go through the valley (without exploring the caves) is approximately 1.5 hours. After reaching the hostel, it is worth seeing Smreczyński Pond, which can be reached from there in half an hour.
- Chochołowska Valley, the longest valley in the Tatra Mountains, takes about 2 hours to go through. Following the green trail, you can reach the point Pod Wołowcem and then the Tatra peaks Rakoń and Wołowiec. There are many historical shepherd buildings in the valley, where sheep are grazed.
A trip to Gubałówka and Morskie Oko
A short trip to Gubałówka takes about 1.5 hours. Many people also choose to travel on the Nędzówka-Giewont route, which includes the red trail, followed by the blue trail to Giewont. Climbing Giewont alone takes about 4 hours. From Giewont you can reach the hostel on Hala Kondratowa, Hotel Górski PTTK Kalatówki or return the Małej Łąki Valley to Gronik point.
Of course, you can’t miss the red trail to Morskie Oko – just drive to the large car park in Palenica Białczańska, from where you can set off on a hike to the Morskie Oko, which takes about 2.5 hours. From there you can continue to Rysy or to Dolina Pięciu Stawów Polskich.
