Picturesque cycling routes in Kościelisko

In Kościelisko, there are starting routes for many tourist trails leading to the Tatra Mountains.  Among the most popular and interesting is the section of the route between Kościelisko and Dolina Chochołowska, which is about 25 km long. This is a moderately difficult, mountain route, but the effort put into it is set to pay off with its amazing views.

A total of 134 bike routes can be found in Kościelisko. The most interesting ones include:

• Tatra from Bukowina (very easy);
• Zakopane-Kościelisko (easy);
• Pszczyna-Zakopane bicycle route (difficult).

It’s worth knowing that…

Cyclists in the Tatra Mountains have to keep in mind some limitations. You can ride almost anywhere outside the National Park but not within it. You cannot cycle in Kościeliska Valley or on the route to Morskie Oko. This is because there is too much traffic in these places, which could reduce the safety of those walking.

Cycling in Tatrzański Park Narodowy [Tatra National Park] can therefore only be done on the roads and trails designed for this purpose.
